On July 8th, 2021, the graduation ceremony of grade 2019 Master program for students form developing countries was held in Yunnan University of Finance and Economics. Ms. Deng Xiaoli, Director of Foreign Economic Cooperation Office of Department of Commerce of Yunnan Province, Mr. Li Rongkang, Director of Yunnan International Center for Economic and Technical Exchange, and Ms. Wang Jianying, The chair of the University Board of Yunnan University of Finance and Economics (YUFE), attended the graduation ceremony.
On behalf of the university, Ms. Wang Jianying, extended warm congratulations to the graduates on their successful completion of their studies and sincere gratitude to the Ministry of Commerce and the Provincial Department of Commerce for their consistent supports. She also thanked the students for choosing YUFE, because they not only brought knowledge and culture of their own countries here, but also opened a window to the world for the university. She hopes that the students shall become the bridges of friendship between China and their home country in the future and contribute to establishing a community with a shared future for mankind.
Ms. Deng Xiaoli delivered a speech on behalf of the Ministry of Commerce and Yunnan Provincial Department of Commerce, the sponsor of the program. She expressed her appreciation to YUFE for its well-designed teaching curriculum and excellent faculty. She hopes that the students will share their experiences in China with more people letting them to know more about China when they returned home. She also believes that the students will become the envoys strengthening the connectivity and deepening the all-round cooperation between China and their home country.
Kebinakgabo Tasiwa Barona from Botswana and Mat Ismak from Cambodia spoke as students` representatives. In her speech, Barona recalled her two-year study experience in YUFE and expressed her gratitude to all parties conducting the educational program. She said that YUFE is a highly internationalized university where one can realize one's dreams and pursuits. During her stay, she not only broadened her international vision but also gained an in-depth understanding of China and the Chinese spirit. She will take China as her second hometown and act as an ambassador connecting two countries to contribute to the vision of building a community with a shared future for mankind.
Affected by COVID-19, 16 students attended the ceremony, while 21 students watched the ceremony online.
