A delegation led by Tony Drew, vice dean of Business School of the University of Newcastle, visited YUFE on the morning of 17 October. Yin Hong, vice president of YUFE met and held friendly talks with the guests.
Yin Hong introduced the current status and development of YUFE and the planning and construction of the new campus. He held that Yunnan provincial government supported the all-around and manifold cooperation between higher educational institutions in Yunnan and overseas counterparts. In addition, he held that two parties had a lot in common in terms of major setups and had achieved remarkable results in the past 10 years of cooperation, and hoped that this meeting would open a new chapter based on the friendly cooperation between two parties. Tony Drew introduced the basic information about the University of Newcastle, and held that they had been seeking proper opportunity to develop further cooperation between two parties, hoping to produce something through this meeting. Afterwards, two parties had substantial exchanges in terms of student exchange, staff visits and details on developing Sino-foreign cooperative educational institution, and reached a preliminary cooperation intention.
